Biography
Victoria Platzer was a Circuit Court Judge in Miami, Florida for over 18 years. During her tenure on the bench, she presided over hundreds of jury trials, many involving complex legal issues malpractice, admiralty, construction defects, insurance law, products liability, commercial real estate and employment law.
Victoria also served in the Juvenile, Criminal and Family Divisions of the Court . She consistently received high ratings in the bar association polls and received several awards from both the Family Lawyers and Civil Trial Lawyers for her exemplary service.
In 2013, Victoria left the bench to begin an Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) practice. She has mediated numerous cases to resolution. Victoria also is an Arbitrator both privately and through the AAA on its Panel of Neutrals, Complex Commercial Panel, Employment Panel and through the International Center for Dispute Resolution (ICDR) on it's Seafarers Panel. She also serves as a Special Magistrate when appointed by the Court. Additionally, Victoria is available as a consultant to assist in the evaluation and presentation of cases in Court and as an expert witness on attorney's fees..
Since 2000 Victoria has taught litigation skills as an adjunct professor at the University of Miami School of Law.
