Vera Dorothy O Jean

Vera is a great Talker, a fast talker, in fact, my estimate at above 160 words per minute, but her listening skills are beyond poor. I make this sad and disappointing review for my mother who had her case not even seen by a judge even after 18 months of the incident. Vera flat out and repeatedly tol...d my mother," You can't win against the police, no way" and pressured her into signing a plea since the initial case was a disputable and improbable crime of one officer accusing her of spitting on him after pulling her out of an ambulance after a car wreck in the rain in mid-2019. Because of the pending case, and because of it being extremely prolonged, she could not leave the County and escape a highly abusive relationship that may have strongly contributed to her sudden death. Before her death, my mother pleaded with Vera constantly for more progress to be done in her name. Over a year and a half elapsed without leaving square one. She wanted to get this case off her head and be able to get out of the county where she had no resources to get herself back on her feet. It is a great disappointment that Vera is employed as a public defender, and is an embarrassment to the county she works for. This situation ended in the absolute worst possible way, her actions contributed to it. I hope Vera could learn to not talk as much, and learn to listen to her clients so she could better accomplish the goals set by her employer.

She is a public defender for pierce county. The first time I had court they had to track her down. She new nothing about my case. She won’t even try to negotiate a deal with prosecutors. She lied to my face about pierce county work release. There is only 8 spots for woman in pierce county and it’s al...ways full. Don’t even waste your time with this woman, I would rather represent myself!
