I found myself in an unfortunate situation that resulted in many sleepless nights. I was at a younger crowd type of bar and was assaulted by another person. Although I thought I was just acting in self-defense in trying to restrain the other person/not assault him in any way (I had my friends/witness...es right next to me thank god), that mattered little to NYPD who got there after the incident was over.. Long story short, I was charged with Assault/Felony. The case was eventually dismissed on the 1st hearing following the arrest. I still have faith in the court system! not so much in NYPD..
