After waiting and waiting for fairfax to give me legal help from a domestic violence case, I found out there was no attorneys working for pro bono in their office. They directed me to Marline. Marline went over our options and asked for details in the case. She helped me work through my fear over the... past 2 years. My ex husband put such a fear in me I couldn't even testify or be in the same room with him. Over these years of fighting him and giving up. Marline had to keep explaining this to me over email and phone. She explained my rights over and over until I understood what I needed to do. Every motion and court date she was there and ready to help me be strong. She saw through his miniplulative ways and helped me grow strong. She helped develop a visiation order that made total sense to go ahead. I do plan to make some changes but she explained it was best to sign if I cant testify. She did explain it's hard to change orders like this so to be sure if I sign. Even though i wasnt 100% sure given our options she helped me feel comfortable about the order for now. She continued to fight for motions to protect my daughter and she was a fighter in court and outside. She knows her laws and rights to be able help me understand what was going on. I think the only thing I would of changed is for her to explain things a little more dumbed down the first time. But over all very happy with her help and fight. I would definitely work with her again if I ever find myself in any other situation in her jurisdiction.

I can confidently say that Marline is THE LAWYER, that you would like to keep not only for your case but your life. I was a victim of domestic violence, me and my unborn child were threatened to kill from my husband ejected from my house when my due was only a week away. I filed protective order and ...we had a final hearing for a permanent PO but it was dismissed. I did not know what to do and was extremely frustrated, depressed, disappointed, and even felt betrayed with the result. There was no way that I could accept it was dismissed. My husband since then, has made false statements for pretty much everything, poorly cared our child, calling on cops, constantly tried to make accusations against me and my family. Also she is also very fair and honest with her fee, it is very fair compares to how much of work she deals with. I started with no hope, depression and sadness, and not even me but also my family, community were so hurt. Now with Marline on my side, I have hope, I have courage, and I have such a wonderful role model for my future. It is a blessing to have her in my life, and she will always be my, my child's, and my family's hero.
