Why I Practice:
We've all heard the saying, "Change is the only constant." However, in my experience, there is another constant. Family. I have been fortunate to have a family that has provided me with unwavering support and unconditional love. This is why I practice Estate Planning law. When I am no longer here and my family is trying to come to terms with that, I hope that by preparing an estate plan, I can make it as manageable as possible for them. Grief is difficult enough to deal with without having to navigate an unplanned estate or winding up in probate court. Through my work, I hope to help others create comprehensive and sensible estate plans so that they can rest assured that their loved ones will be provided for and will have clear guidance in difficult times.
In addition to Estate Planning, I focus on Business Formation. Having entrepreneurs in my family and being an entrepreneur myself, I know that opening your own business involves putting a lot on the line. It is stressful and anxiety-producing, but also exciting and rewarding. Starting off on the right foot by choosing the best business entity structure and having the appropriate organizational documents in place is extremely important and can relieve some of the worry you might face. Through this process, you can protect yourself from personal liability or ensure that you and your business partners have an agreement in place to address any future circumstances that might arise. I am dedicated to helping other entrepreneurs succeed by giving them sound legal advice and helping guide them in their entrepreneurial adventures.
My Background:
I am an attorney licensed by the State Bar of Texas. I graduated with honors from Trinity University with my Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Political Science in 2012. I then went on to the Texas Tech University School of Law and graduated with honors in 2015 earning my Doctor of Jurisprudence. In addition to attending Texas Tech University School of Law, I did two semesters of legal coursework at the University of Houston Law Center.
While at Texas Tech, I was chosen to be on the Texas Tech Administrative Law Journal as a staff editor and later served on the Journal's Executive Board. I was also selected to be a part of the Texas Tech Criminal Defense Clinic where I gained practical experience in handling clients' cases from start to finish. I also held summer internship positions at the Gulf Region Advocacy Center and the First Court of Appeals in Houston, Texas. In addition, I worked very hard to excel at my academic coursework earning honors such as the Distinction Award in Business Entities.
I look forward to working with you!
