Terese M Bennett

Terese Bennett is a Louisiana business and litigation attorney in New Orleans, Her practice encompasses both contracts and litigation.  She provides legal services in matters ranging from real estate and entertainment contracts to commercial and health care litigation. Ms. Bennett has represented academic and financial institutions, health care providers and insurers in litigation matters contract disputes, employment litigation and professional liability matters for more than 25 years.

Ms. Bennett began her legal career at Chaffe McCall, where she gained invaluable experience in banking regulatory and compliance matters. She completed a judicial externship with the Honorable Arthur L. Burnett of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. During her legal career, Ms. Bennett has successfully directed insurance defense and medical malpractice litigation, representing scores of individual health care providers. Ms. Bennett has also defended a number of high value, serious personal injury and wrongful death matters, as well as environmental and toxic tort property claims.

Additionally, Ms.Bennett has counseled clients on business risk management in real estate development projects and commercial construction. She has worked with clients in negotiating and drafting of licensing agreements, master service agreements, vendor and subcontractor agreements and employment contracts.
