My ex and I had a document we drew up and had agreed to everything, we just wanted to make sure it was formalized properly. 9 months and $25k later we were finally divorced. He took 6 hours over three meetings to review everything we agreed to in 4 pages that were already agreed to. We were charged ...for every email he read – many of which he didn’t respond to. He used forms that were out of date the court wouldn’t even accept. He charged me for two hours to fix mistakes he made in our marriage settlement agreement. The judge was appalled at our 115-page document – which couldn’t even be uploaded as one document because it was so large and repetitive. He clearly just wants to run up cost and timing and is very unorganized. Avoid at all costs.

This was not ‘A Better Solution.’ He charged me over $25,000 for a divorce mediation. There was no mediating done, as me and my ex agreed to everything. He types everything himself so he charges his hourly fee which racks up the bill. It took over a year for an uncontested divorce that could have t...aken a few months. I would never use this man again, nor refer him to anyone.

Steve is an amazing mediator who I would recommend without hesitation to anyone seeking a peaceful, efficient, economical divorce or separation. I was looking for someone to help me achieve an uncontested, friendly divorce without it costing an arm and a leg. Steve really delivered! He answered a...ll of my questions capably and completely, often without any charge. He made suggestions on things I wasn’t aware of, and turned what could easily have been a very expensive divorce between two warring lawyers into a very affordable one for me. I personally know other couples that used Steve and had equally amazing experiences.

We went to him for an peaceful divorce and not expecting the expense that occurred. In the end our divorce cost almost 18K. Fees for phone calls, copying fees. Always a fee for this and that. I have had lawyers for other things in my life time and never met anyone like this. Nickel and dime us in a v...olunerable situation. Very sad for the profession. Not caring for us as people, but the dollar sign.
