Stephen Graham McGrath

Steve has spent his entire career representing people charged with crimes. He’s handled hundreds of cases, both in Tennessee state courts and in United States District and Appeals Courts. Over the last eight years he’s achieved excellent results for his clients, including recent outright dismissals of DUI cases, a not guilty verdict in a serious felony jury trial, and numerous reductions of charges and favorable resolutions by agreement.

Steve was a partner of a well-known criminal firm and also ran his own practice prior to joining Barnes Law. Every day Steve delivers expertise and experience to his clients. He approaches each case with the goal of achieving the client’s individual goals and making sure that they are “in the loop” with everything important to their case.

In addition to his client-focused practice, Steve keeps at the forefront of changes in law and practice, attending seminars and trainings nationwide, from respected organizations including the National College for DUI Defense, the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and the Federal Defenders.
