Spencer E. Williams

I went to court for custody of my oldest son. I worked with Spencer, and explained my goals. He broke down every scenario I could face. He also squashed all the rumors and "hear say" that people assume about the legal system and custody. Not only did I accomplish the goals, I actually came out of the... case better than intended. This Man changed my family's life for the better.

I retained the services of Cordell and Cordell to represent me in a divorce/custody matter. My attorney was Mr. Williams. Mr. Williams was competent and very responsive to calls and answered my questions via email or phone calls in a timely manner. The issue I had was that Mr. Williams was that he wa...s not aggressive in representing my needs as his client. Mr. Williams was the first attorney I had hired and I trusted that he would aggressively represent my best interests and the best interests of my child. Mr. Williams negotiated a settlement with opposing counsel and the judge that was not in my best interest nor was it in the best interest of my child. As a result of this settlement, I had to endure several years of additional court battles and spend thousands of dollars before this could be rectified. Overall I believe that Mr. Williams is indeed a competent attorney and will respond to calls,etc but he's certainly not going to be that "pitbull" attorney who will fight tooth and nail to represent you in court. I have subsequently hired other attorneys who were willing and able to aggressively represent me and my needs in court. I felt as though he and/or the firm had so many other clients that expediency to settle my case was more important than obtaining the best result.
