Shiva Eliza Tayebi

Shiva Tayebi is an Associate Attorney at Gravis Law. She is licensed in three states: Washington, New York, and New Jersey. Shiva believes in compassionate advocacy and understands how difficult and frightening the divorce process and family law proceedings can be. She is committed to listening to the goals of each client while providing them with the resources and tools so they can make informed decisions.

Shiva spent several years working at Adult Protective Services (APS) where she protected vulnerable adults against mental abuse, physical abuse, financial exploitation, and neglect. This experience has provided Shiva with a unique grasp of abuse dynamics, granting her a distinct advantage in achieving favorable negotiations and hearing/trial results.

Shiva is dedicated to protecting her client’s interests and the best interest of the child. While she is known for successfully negotiating or settling cases, she is also confident in zealously advocating on behalf of her client to achieve the best outcome.

Background

I was born in Tehran, Iran. At the tender age of three, my parents, siblings, and I immigrated to Bellevue, WA where I attended elementary, middle, and high school. I was blessed to be raised in a loving home with exceptional parents whose strong marriage taught me about loyalty, faithfulness, respect, kindness and unconditional love. In order to remain within a close proximity to my parents, siblings, and relatives I continued my higher education in Washington. I received my bachelor’s degree from the University of Washington, and I obtained my Juris Doctor degree from the Seattle University School of Law. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from both the University of Washington and Seattle University School of Law.

More About Me

I am a proud mother of one amazing child. While we sometimes dream of being the next mom and son TikTok sensation through our living room dance parties and cooking shows, most of our time is spent outdoors at the beach, theme parks (Disneyland is our favorite!), playing soccer, reading books, and traveling to different places. We also enjoy spending time with our extended family, relatives, and our many friends.

My passion for protecting individuals who are going through the challenges of family separation has become the center focus of my career. Additionally, I have developed a steadfast commitment to empowering domestic violence survivors and ensuring their journey towards justice and healing is diligently advocated for.
