Mr. Thompson graduated from Central Connecticut State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in International Business before attending law school. During his time in law school, Mr. Thompson received Dean’s List Honors, as well as a Pro Bono Distinction for his work within the Charlotte Community. The extensive amount of pro bono and Mr. Thompson completed molded his passion for representing and defending the less fortunate and has placed him on mission to help improve the community by over-dedicating himself to his clients.

Mr. Thompson has also partnered with Future L.E.A.D.E.R.S of America which is a non-profit organization involved in building and fostering relationships with youth who need direction in and out of the correctional system.
In addition to his volunteer efforts, Mr. Thompson is also active in the Mecklenburg County Bar. He is a current board member of the Mecklenburg County Bar’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee Pipeline Programming Subcommittee. The Pipeline Programming Subcommittee is responsible for organizing the annual ‘Lunch with a Lawyer’ program and the annual Diversity Day Conference. Both programs seek to encourage children to consider the legal field as a possible career choice.
