Shelah Feiss handled my divorce. We reached an agreement with the other party about the dollar amount I would pay. Shelah was to write up the agreement. After more than 2 months and multiple inquiries/reminders from me she finally delivered. It was too late to fire her. Not sure what was holding he...r up. She gave no reason. IT was a very bad time for the market. The other party ended up with a much higher portion of the assets. The second star is quite generous.

Shelah Feiss came highly recommended to me when I was looking for a divorce attorney and I was not disappointed. What I thought was going to be a simple divorce procedure, became complicated when my Ex’s lawyer started making pointless requests that drove her attorney’s fees through the roof. Through... it all, Shelah provided excellent counsel, kept me grounded and helped negotiate a very fair settlement agreement all while keeping the legal fees realistic. In addition to her professionalism and legal expertise, Shelah is a great listener who helped me think through several issues with sensitivity and kindness. Bottom line is, I would hire her again in a heartbeat.

Shelah assisted me with my divorce last fall. From the minute I met her I felt at ease and knew I was in very competent hands. She guided me through the entire process letting me know what was at stake and also what was realistic. When bumps came up Shelah, managed them and was able to keep me gro...unded. Shelah is a wonderful negotiator and knows when to be chose a battle and when not to. And if she chooses it, in my case, she always won it. I would highly recommend Shelah. I might also mention I was part of a same-sex couple and never for a second felt she was uncomfortable representing me and talked openly and honestly about the uniqueness of my case since same-sex marriage is still relatively knew and there are still untested scenarios legally that will eventually create case law. She knew I didn't want this and made it her priority to avoid it even though the opposing attorney was eager to do so. Finally I will add that in addition to excellent representation, Shelah was very sensitive to the legal fees being incurred and always tried to find ways to avoid incurring more unless she felt motion or a communication was imperative. She is not an attorney who filed pointless documents just to run through the retainer.

Shelah helped me with an issue related to my child. Despite the really tough opposition Shelah did an excelled job and helped negotiate a settlement for a very decent amount. Through it all, she was a great go-to person, who always listened kindly, and offered practical advice. In family related iss...ues, emotions cloud one's judgment. On at least 2 such occasions, I asked Shelah and her advice proved invaluable. I recommend her whole heartedly. I honestly never want to go through the family court system again, but if I had to, Shelah is on my speed dial!
