I went to Miss Hopper for assistance after I was sued by a credit card company. I was so worried about it, and had no idea how I would ever be able to pay the company all of the money they were asking for, let alone pay for lawyer fees. Miss Hopper genuinely cared about me and my situation. I live in... another part of the state than she does, so we mostly communicated over the phone. She spent as much time on the phone with me as I needed, and never seemed rushed or annoyed with my constant questions! She took the time to explain the "legal jargon" that was in the lawsuit so I really understood what was going on and what the company was asking for. She explained everything to me in plain English and gave me all of the information I needed to bargain confidently with the credit card company. Because of Miss Hopper's advice, I was able to get a settlement for half of what the company was asking for. In addition, because Miss Hopper's advice allowed the lawsuit to be settled outside of court, her fee was much, much less than I thought I would have to pay for a lawyer's assistance. She even called several times to check up on me after the matter was settled. Having never required a lawyer's help before, I dreaded the experience and expected to be "taken to the cleaner's" with fees. Miss Hopper, however, was a truly caring person and a competent, ethical lawyer. I think if more lawyers were like her, we wouldn't hear as many "lawyer jokes" as we do now! I hope I never have another situation in which I need a laywer's help, but if I do, I will - without a doubt - use Miss Hopper.
