Biography
Sehar Aijaz is a business law attorney serving entrepreneurs, small businesses, and nonprofits in the Greater Austin Area. Sehar is licensed to practice law in the State of Texas and has been a member of the Bar since 2017. Sehar focuses on business and nonprofit formation and governance and provides outside general counsel services to businesses across industries. Sehar also advises entrepreneurs and business owners on Intellectual Property Law and helps protect their IP portfolio.
Sehar graduated from the National Law University, India with a dual degree in Arts and Law in 2013. She practiced business law in India with a boutique law firm advising companies and individuals from all over the world including the United States of America, Canada, the United Kingdom, Japan, India, and the United Arab Emirates. Sehar has gained a unique international exposure and training in understanding how businesses work globally.
Sehar is active in the community and volunteers her time with several organizations. She has been on the board of the Austin Bar Association’s Solo Small Firm section since 2018 and currently serves as the CLE chair. She is also on the editorial and steering committee of the Texas Business Organizations Manual. She is a member of the South Asian Bar Association of Austin, the Travis County Women Lawyers Association, and the Mother Attorney Mentoring Association of Austin.
Sehar is a member of the Texas Bar College. She was selected as a Texas Rising Star by SuperLawyers in 2020. She is an alumnus of the Texas Opportunity and Justice Incubator and has upheld the State Bar of Texas Pro Bono Pledge for the last 3 years. She has been a speaker at the Small Business Festival and the Freelance Conference held in Austin.
