Straightforward, client-oriented

We filed bankruptcy, a difficult & painful choice, but necessary. Scott was very helpful and fair, meeting with us several times, answering his phone immediately or returning calls quickly. He clearly explained our choices, not sugar-coating anything, but telling us the straightforward truth, and t...hen let us make our own decisions. He walked us through the process and the court, and also worked with us on follow-up issues. He was fair and understanding with his fees. We did visit other bankruptcy attorneys before filing, but we came back to Scott, who is a man of honor and ethics. If anyone asked me to recommend an attorney, I would tell them to go see Scott.

Yes!

Scott represented me regarding a sensitive issue, and he did so in an outstanding manner. Above all, he was available; from the initial free consultation throughout a long process, I received prompt replies to every inquiry, and usually Scott answered the phone in person! He was always professional... and at the same time genuinely involved, and I felt that he cared. I recommend him highly.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
