Scott Harrison Holtz

A South Florida native, Scott Harrison Holtz served as a prosecutor at the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office for almost four years, including an appointment to the Organized Crime Unit. During his time as a prosecutor, Mr. Holtz conducted well over a hundred and fifty jury and non jury trials ranging from traffic offenses and misdemeanors to drug crimes, attempted murders, and complex frauds.

Mr. Holtz also has extensive experience dealing in real estate law, especially in the area of foreclosure. He has defended homeowners in nearly one hundred foreclosure cases, obtaining numerous dismissals for his clients. He excels at making the best of a bad situation- helping homeowners stay in their homes by means of loan modification, or if that is not possible, helping his clients make the best decision possible between fighting the foreclosure or reaching an advantageous settlement.

At the University of Florida Levin College of Law, Mr. Holtz distinguished himself both as an executive board member of and competitor for the nationally recognized Florida Moot Court Team. and was a Federal Judicial Extern in the Northern District of Florida. In his third year, Mr. Holtz was elected to membership in Florida Blue Key, Florida’s oldest and most prestigious leadership honorary.
When he is not at work, Mr. Holtz enjoys sports (especially the Miami Heat, Miami Dolphins, and Florida Gators), traveling, and the arts.

Mr. Holtz is admitted to practice in all state courts in Florida and in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
