Thief and a liar

Mr. Curry’s character is very questionable — he has a mind that is governed by criminal tendencies. Back in 2003 or 2004 he was brought up on charges of cable tv theft which ultimately rendered a decision of him having to pay Comcast TV a substantial amount of money (he almost lost his law license as... well). The bottom line is that Mr. Curry can’t be trusted and is governed by a criminal mind and intent.

a criminal lawyer who does not care

Mr. Samuel Curry came recommended as a criminal attorney locally. I was told he does not overcharge his clients but my experience was different. The first consultation was supposed to be free, but at the end he sent me a horrendous bill including our first consultation. Basically my case was mishandl...ed. I got punished more than I would have been without a lawyer representing me. And I ended up paying hourly rate for a lawyer who did not do anything for me and did not even return my calls. He simply did not care about me. I made a wrong choice for a legal representation and have no one to blame but myself.

It's unfortunate that you've had such a bad experience. Not sure who you a recommendation to use my service, but I do appreciate the referral. In addressing the claims made in this post I must point out that I have never charged a consultation fee for a criminal case. If I charge a consultation fee, for the practice areas that require one, it is paid up front and not billed. Finally, I have not excepted many criminal cases in the last year, and have not taken on a new criminal case in the past six months. Not sure, why this comment has been posted. Maybe you meant to leave it on another lawyer's page. Although, I truly doubt that you ever retained or even attempted to retain my office for your legal needs.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
