Ryan is a friendly guy, but...

An attorney should be attentive, thorough and vigorously represent every case they accept, no matter how small. They are the medium through which your case should be presented in totality. I did not get this with Ryan. He repeatedly ignored explicit instruction to present evidence, witnesses and spec...ific testimony that would have directly exposed the opposition's perjury. The evidence and testimony that he did not use were then not admissible in an objection or appeal. His legal drafts and closing statements to the magistrate contained incorrect information. During trial, his presentation to the court conflicted with my own testimony. He made remarks about me during trial that were a poor reflection of me as his client. He presented my case in a direction that it should not have went. It was careless. Trial is considered the first and last show. There are no do-overs, so everything must be presented in full to prove your position. Without it, assumptions will take its place that can damage both finance and reputation. Ryan was completely inconsiderate of this, and was overconfident in his minimalist strategy despite continuously raised concerns to the contrary. Still, he was confident that we would win. After we lost, Ryan suggested just paying the judgement on top of his bill. Considering the vast amount of evidence that I gave Ryan that directly disproved the perjury, we should not have lost. His negligence in my case falls in the line of malpractice, and that means getting another attorney to correct the loss from hiring Ryan. You do not want this to happen. A negligent attorney can ruin things beyond the original case.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
