My husband and I wanted to make a few changes to our Estate planning and Bob Ramsdell was recommended to us by our Financial Advisor. He ended up doing an Amendment to our Trust, new Durable Powers of Attorney as well as Beneficiary Designations. We found him to be. Extremely knowledgable, easy to ...work with, good a communicating with us and prompt. We liked how he went the extra mile and gave us handouts to educate us about various aspects of Estate Planning. We first heard about Robert (Bob) from our financial advisor who gave us a copy of Bob's book "Estate Planning Overview" and suggested we read it to get some ideas about changes to our existing estate documents. If you do nothing else, we recommend you get copy of the book and you will soon see the d...epth of knowledge and experience Bob has about estate planning. Our first meeting with Bob took a few hours as he is very thorough in his questioning to determine what exactly we wanted and how best to achieve our goals. We found Bob to be very patient, friendly and courteous as he listened to us and provided detailed alternatives and remedies to various issues that concerned us. He promptly provided drafts of all estate documents as well as a letter explaining each document in detail for us to review and was very accessible in resolving any issues we had. After a few emails and calls the final documents were ready to sign. Here again Bob provided detailed instructions as to how to title each large asset, name the appropriate Trustees, and beneficiaries of various accounts and distribute the necessary documents to the proper individuals and/or organizations. We found Bob to be very passionate about estate planning and highly recommend him to anyone seeking professional guidance on these matters.

Without a doubt I recommend talking with Mr. Robert Ramsdell when you start planning your estate. Bob's knowledge of the field combined with his detailed explanations made my wife and I feel at ease that we had a top notch lawyer. He's obviously very bright, graduating in the top of his class at KU Law School. His book on Estate Planning Review is excellent. It is organized, th...orough, and goes beyond the normal explanations of legal documents. From the first chapter, the 'before' the documents: Do You Need a Plan?, to the chapters covering estate documents, to further chapters 'after' the documents are completed. Things you need to do for final completion. His explanation of digital assets and directions for virtual assets are very current, neither of which were relevant when my original documents were made. In my case I had definite ideas of what I wanted in my trust, having formerly practiced as a CFP. I know this was a challenge for Bob to maneuver around, but all was accomplished to his credit. His instruction letters (there were many) made the entire process understandable. He's very detailed. It's a comforting feeling to know you're up to date with all your legal documents.
