Ricky is passionate about helping good people through difficult times, using his legal expertise, life experience, and unwavering commitment to guide clients toward the best possible outcome. His ability to connect with people from all walks of life comes naturally—shaped by his upbringing, military service, and diverse legal background.

Born to Ecuadorian immigrants, Ricky grew up witnessing firsthand the power of perseverance, hard work, and resilience. His journey hasn’t been a straight path—after leaving high school, he joined the U.S. Army, where he served on active duty, including a tour in Afghanistan. That experience instilled in him discipline, adaptability, and a deep sense of responsibility, all of which define his approach to law today.

After his military service, Ricky refocused on his education, earning his law degree from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago, where he graduated with honors. He began his legal career as a judicial intern, then gained extensive trial experience as a prosecutor for the State of Illinois. There, he handled cases from arraignment through trial, building a strong foundation in criminal law. Prior to that, he worked in personal injury and medical malpractice, sharpening his skills as an advocate and litigator.

Ricky understands that life doesn’t always go as planned, and he believes that no one should be defined by their worst moment. With years of experience as an ombudsman, he’s worked tirelessly to ensure that people facing difficult circumstances have a voice in the process. His deep understanding of people, along with his empathetic approach, allows him to connect with clients and find fair and effective solutions to their legal issues. He prides himself on being both a strong legal strategist and a compassionate guide, helping clients navigate not only their cases but also the stress and uncertainty that can come with them.

Ricky’s career is driven by a passion for helping others, and he’s committed to walking alongside clients every step of the way. Fluent in Spanish, he is dedicated to making sure every client feels heard, understood, and supported.

Outside of work, he enjoys exploring the Pacific Northwest, searching for the best local coffee, and spending time with his family. He also continues his commitment to service by volunteering as a court mediator and an ombudsman for the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve.
