Commissioner Richard Vogl, served twenty-six years as a judicial officer for the Family Law Panel of the Orange County Superior Court until retirement in April of 2013. Prior to his judicial career, he was a family law lawyer for eighteen years. He was one of the first certified family law specialists in the state. Having heard cases as to almost every family law issue, he has a wealth of knowledge to share. In the past he has published a monthly column in the Orange County Lawyer Magazine for twenty years, taught as an adjunct lecturer at Western State Law School and Chapman University Law School. His contributions to the law profession also include presentations to the Orange County Trial Lawyers Secretaries Association and paralegals at the University of Irvine, extension courses. He has received numerous honors and awards and now serves in the capacity of a family law legal consultant and privately compensated judicial officer.
