Biography
I have handled appeals in state and federal courts for over 35 years, including the Michigan Supreme Court, Michigan Court of Appeals, US Supreme Court and US Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. My interest in appeals has led me to leadership roles in professional organizations of appellate lawyers, such as Chair of the American Institute of Appellate Practice, Executive Board of the American Bar Association Council of Appellate Lawyers, and Council of the State Bar of Michigan Appellate Practice Section.
I also handle health law matters, including representation of physicians, dentists, psychologists, nurses, and other health professionals in investigations and disciplinary actions by state licensing authorities. I recently received the Best Health Care Lawyer in Lansing award from The Best Lawyers in America.
