Mr. Lights handled my divorce several years ago and it was pretty quick with no real issues...at least I thought. I hired him again to handle a custody matter I was having with my children's father. He asked for the payment upfront and eventually became unresponsive to me and the opposing lawyer, whi...ch has caused me a lot of stress. After receiving no responses from him to any of my emails or calls, I hired another attorney. My new attorney is excellent and pointed out all of the mistakes he made in my first divorce settlement agreement which does not position me well with my current case relating to custody. I am now aware that for my divorce several years ago, that he counseled me in a way that would make the case end quicker, but not in a way that was in my best interest. The first time I did not catch his incompetence because I was young and trusting, but now that I am more informed, it is very clear to me how grossly incompetent he is. Do not take a chance with this guy if your case is important to you.

Mr. Lights did not communicate with me. I was never able to conatct him and he never called back. My case was left neglected and he did close to nothing in 8 months after retaining him. The last straw was when another attorney tried to fill in for him and I found out he bounced a check to the cour...t for a filed motion on my behalf. Although I asked for a bill for what my retainer had been used for, I never received one. I eventually took him to small claims court. He did not appear at court. I won my case, but had to involve the sheriff since he did not pay on the judgment against him. The sheriff informed me he was evicted from his office (same address listed on this site). I am currently seeking other means of getting my retainer back. Do not hire this "lawyer".

I paid him 2,500.00 1 year ago to finish a divorce a previous lawyer started. It became apparent after his first email sent me that this man suffers from a learning disability,Spelling and grammatical error’s littered the page. Against my better judgment I allowed this simple man to continue with th...is what i believed was a simple task. He has proving me wrong. To make the entire situation even that much worse, he will not respond to my phone calls or email. I am the plaintiff in a divorce, I haven’t spoken to my lawyer in almost a month, opposing counsel has received emails from him saying he has filed papers he has not. The only way I know this is that Im forced to seek help from opposing counsel. Yeah thats right opposing counsel.

I hired Mr. Lights in 2018 , he was helpful and knowledgeable about the law in the beginning of my case. However as time went on, he got sloppy. He was inconsistent and non- responsive to calls. Just remember , when you get an attorney for a Matrimonial case, make sure you get an itemized bi...ll every 3 to 4 months, open communication is needed, and do not give the attorney any money until your case is finished. I made that mistake. He received his money and did not finish the case. Horrible experience!!!
