Pete Borsari

Pete Borsari, is a registered patent attorney with nearly thirty years experience in the field of intellectual property law.  Mr. Borsari began his career in 1981 as a patent searcher with the Washington, D.C. firm of Cushman, Darby & Cushman and later with Union Carbide Corporation while attending The National Law Center at George Washington University.  In 1986, Mr. Borsari established his own practice and founded Borsari & Associates, P.C.

Mr. Borsari prepares and prosecutes patent and trademark applications before the United States Patent & Trademark Office and works with numerous associates throughout Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Canada, Mexico and South America in obtaining international protection.  Mr. Borsari also provides liaison support to many clients including obtaining and filing formal drawings, interviewing USPTO Examiners and USPTO Draftsmen, obtaining expedited foreign licenses and like matters in order to advance prosecution before the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office.

Mr. Borsari received his law degree in 1986 from The National Law Center at George Washington University and his B.S. in Chemistry in 1980 from Beloit is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and in Massachusetts, as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.

Mr. Borsari has conducted more than five thousand patentability, state-of-the-art, infringement, right-to-use and validity and ownership searches.  Mr. Borsari's areas of expertise include the fields of chemistry and biochemistry, as well as Internet and software applications.  Areas of particular expertise include batteries, catalysts, ceramics, coating compositions, cosmetics, detergent compositions, electrochemistry, films and food packagings, metallurgy and metal alloy compositions, oil well treatments, petrochemistry, pharmaceuticals, polymers and synthetic resins.  Mr. Borsari also performs federal, state and common law trademark searches and copyright searches.
