Patrick’s practice is devoted to handling cases for injured people. His cases have included medical malpractice, automobile negligence, product liability, and premises liability claims.
Connecticut newspapers have reported on some of Patrick's recent verdicts. The Connecticut Law Tribune has covered verdicts he obtained in New Britain for a single mother who was injured in an automobile collision and in Hartford for a correction officer injured in a late night crash. The New London Day, Norwich Bulletin and Connecticut Law Tribune all reported on a New London case in which a contractor was injured in a construction site accident, when he fell down an unprotected, empty stairwell, which Patrick tried as co-lead counsel. In addition, the Hartford Courant and Connecticut Law Tribune reported on a Willimantic case where Patrick, as co-lead counsel, obtained a verdict for a woman injured by a defective shopping cart provided by a large retail store.
Patrick has also negotiated out-of-court or pre-trial settlements for his clients. In addition to settling many of the more common varieties of personal injury cases, such as automobile accident and falls, Patrick has also reached settlements in medical malpractice, wrongful death and products liability cases. The details of many of these cases are barred from being made public by confidentiality agreements.
Patrick has been named to the Super Lawyers Connecticut and New England Rising Stars 2011 and 2011/2012 lists. Each year, only 2.5% of attorneys in Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine forty years old and under, or in practice for ten years or less, receive the Rising Stars honor.
Patrick has spoken at seminars on civil trial practice for both the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association and the Connecticut Bar Association.
Patrick graduated from Connecticut College where he was a member of the soccer team and a member of the NESCAC all academic team. Patrick is a cum laude graduate of Quinnipiac University School of Law.
Patrick is a lifelong resident of New Haven County and currently resides in Hamden with his wife, son and daughter.
