Patricia Lynne Nelson is a seasoned Family Law attorney with 14 years of experience practicing in Sacramento, California. Ms. Nelson is skilled in all aspects of Family Law, with an emphasis on private confidential mediation. Private confidential mediation allows clients to craft educated agreements that would not be available if the case is taken to trial. This puts the clients in control, not the judge.
Our Mission
Ms. Nelson founded her virtual-only Family Law firm in 2025 with a clear mission: to guide clients through their Family Law matter from start to finish at an affordable upfront flat rate, all the while understanding their rights and obligations, and, if needed, to help clients resolve disputes in private confidential mediation.
What Sets Us Apart
Lower Costs: The cost of running a virtual-only Family Law firm is dramatically less than running a traditional law firm. For this reason, we are able to offer high-quality legal services at a much more affordable rate than traditional law firms.
No Retainer Required: We've eliminated the need for an upfront retainer. Traditional law firms often use an "evergreen" method of billing. This requires a retainer of a set amount that is used to pay fees and expenses. The law firm sends an invoice (usually monthly) to the client. The client is expected to pay that invoice upon receipt. This ensures that the retainer always stays at a set amount and the firm always gets paid. These invoices can be shockingly high. You will never experience that with us.
Transparent Flat Rate Divorce Services: Our all-inclusive flat rates mean you will know the total cost upfront. This one-time fee includes filing fees, service fees, all required forms and a predetermined amount of consultation/mediation time with Ms. Nelson.
Flexibility: Clients have the option of crafting custom flat rate Family Law packages. If a client just wants help with a Marital Settlement Agreement, we can do that. If the client just wants to schedule time to speak to Ms. Nelson from time to time, that is available as well.
Convenience: All meetings are done virtually. This means you will not need to leave the comfort of your home or office to deal with your Family Law matter.

Excellent Attorney, Highly recommend
Patricia mediated the divorce between me and my ex husband. She was compassionate and kind and she worked hard to educate us on the law. She completed all of the forms for us which was a lifesaver. In the end, the plan was fair for both of us and I would highly recommend her.

Former Client
We used her as a mediator for the divorce and development of a parenting plan. We were amicable, split our assets quickly, and only wanted what was typical for children of that age in a 50/50 custody situation. The parenting plan ended up being more than 1 inch thick filled with fluff and useless i...

“I purchased a marketing package to help grow my firm. I spoke with a few attorneys who had given testimonials about the package. All said it was very effective and I should follow the directions. One direction was to send out their prepared letters and not to change anything in the letters. I was disciplined because those letters had misleading information about my prior experience. I had no idea I was doing something wrong by sending the letters. I was heartbroken over the whole ordeal.”
