The officer charged you based on your language and demeanor, I suppose. You can certainly fight the charge in court

As a F1 visa holder, you cannot work off campus without appropriate authorization. Your income outside the US can be included however

The AOS cannot be denied due to a minor traffic ticket. Wait for the adjudication. You can appeal the denial if received
