Pape Malick Indiss Djiba

I am the son of African immigrants and an Austin resident of 13 years. After graduating from the University of Texas at Austin, I went on to attend the University of Iowa College of Law graduating in 2013 with a focus on International Humanitarian Law. After passing the Texas Bar Exam, I had the very unique opportunity to work for the United Nations completing a long-term internship at the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia (ICTY). While at the Hague, I worked for the Office of the Prosecutor where I closely worked with prosecutors and took on some very complex legal issues that continue to have a profound impact in the Balkan region.

Upon returning to the United States, I held several positions at a number of litigation-intensive law firms where I was able to further develop my advocacy skills. I enjoy the law and its variety and have worked on cases spanning from insurance and consumer protection matters, medical malpractice, personal injury, construction defect and general contract law. I've also appeared in state and federal court hearings and trials, and have handled appeals at both the Texas 13th Court of Appeals and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit. 

But most importantly, I enjoy helping people with unique problems and employ an agressive, result-oriented approach to litigation all the while earning the trust and respect of my colleagues.
