Several years ago a city water main broke, flooding a neighborhood of older houses, many with furnished basements. The city and its insurer claimed no fault, partially helped with cleanup costs, and the neighborhood accepted this as just "one of those things". When the same main broke again in virt...ually the same place, causing substantially more damage, there was widespread outrage and a group of neighbors contacted Pam to see if we had a justifiable case against the city, who again claimed no fault and offered a slightly more generous cleanup compensation (but no compensation for repairs, destroyed furnaces, personal effects, etc.). Working largely on her own time, Pam guided the neighborhood through the tricky legal issues involved and filed a tort claim notice, but ultimately the neighbors decided not to pursue a court action. When the pipe broke a THIRD time, we immediately turned to her for guidance and justice! She saw to it that we got both, and did so in an exceptionally forthright, intelligent, and strategic fashion. In short, she was superb. I cannot recommend her highly enough -- she's exactly the person you want on your side when you need to deal with the legal system.
