Kyle Newman

I am a third-generation plaintiff’s personal injury attorney who has been practicing with my father, James Newman, since graduating from Touro Law School in 2008. I am the senior associate at James Newman, P.C. and play a prominent role in all cases from inception to resolution.

Throughout my career I have devoted myself to becoming an accomplished trial attorney and litigator in the fields of personal injury and medical malpractice .  At only 25 years old and literally days after passing the Bar Exam I was thrown straight into the fire by my father James and found myself trying the first case of my career in Manhattan Supreme Court where I achieved a maximum jury verdict of $100, on behalf of a car accident victim.  

This first of many trial victories would set the bar high for a near perfect trial record of over 40 jury verdicts in all five boroughs in cases ranging from medical malpractice, construction accidents, slip and falls, bus collisions, car accidents, wrongful arrest and assault & battery.

By my 30th birthday I received my first medical malpractice verdict of over one million dollars for a client who suffered near fatal complications as a result of the malpractice of an orthopedic surgeon.  At the close of the nearly month long trial in Brooklyn Supreme Court the jury awarded a sum of $1,691,, which was recognized as one of the highest verdicts for a medical malpractice action involving surgical errors and was featured in the New York Law Journal’s November 2014 “Medical Malpractice Verdicts & Settlements Hall of Fame.”

When I am not on trial you can find me at the office working alongside my father and younger brother Devin, a rising star in his own right.  When I am not in the office working with my father and brother I am always on the go meeting with clients, investigating accident locations, preparing with medical or engineering experts or attending mediations and arbitrations.

I remain humbled by the trust and unwavering support my father has given me since day one, which has afforded me an exceptional level of experience and knowledge beyond compare to other attorneys at my age. 

I am a tenacious and passionate advocate for my clients and remain devoted to fighting for each and every one of them day in and day out.  

I am licensed to practice in the State of New York and admitted to practice in the Eastern and Southern District Federal Courts of New York. I am also an active member of the New York State Bar Association, the Bronx County Bar Association and the New York State Trial Lawyers Association.  I have also lectured on the use of cutting edge trial technology before the Georgia State bar association as their keynote speaker on the topic of demonstrative evidence.
