Yimin Chen

We paid $800.00 for this law firm to change the name on the deed on our house. First, he asked for a the full payment and told us it will take 3 to 4 weeks to receive the new deed. We gave him a deposit of $650.00 and the balance of $150.00 on 12/ 15/ 2015. We haven't heard from them after we paid th...e full balance. We contacted them on 1/2/2016. Yi Min Chen told us not to contact him and they will contact us when they received the new deed. We contacted our county and Town office to check the status on our paperwork on 1/4/2016. They told us they did not receive any paperwork from our lawyer. We contacted Yi Min Chen by phone and emails. He replied that he mailed our paperwork to the county office on 12/16/2015. He also blame the county office unable to locate the paperwork. First, Yi Min Chen mail our paperwork by regular mail and we were unable to track the package that he mailed on 12/16/15. Second, he did not found out what happen to the paperwork until we personally contact the county and Town office. Third, we found out the package with the paperwork was returned because of missing paperwork on 1/7/2016. Fourth, Yi Min Chen never contacted us to follow up or provide us with any information since 1/6/2016. Fifth, it was his mistake and error that we are now delayed on receiving our new deed. Furthermore, we felt he did not assist us on this matter and did not communicate with us on what happen to our paperwork. Yi Min Chen also mislead us on 3 to 4 weeks processing for us to receive our new deed. We spoke with our town office and they confirmed that the county only send paperwork to the town office once a month. You will have to wait another month if you missed the window last month due to missing or incomplete paperwork. We are currently asking for full refund and Yi Min Chen has not responded to our request in a written email as of today. We are going to report this matter to Better Business Bureau and New Jersey State Bar Association. We are also going to post our review on all social media since Yi Min Chen still did not respond to our email.
