Mr. Fonte was very knowledgeable, reassuring, and explained everything that was going to happen to me.. I was in my 30's when I was arrested, scared, and over whelmed that I was involved with the Judicial System. A couple of times Mr. Fonte couldn't be present for my case and he told me well ahead of time and briefed me on the covering lawyer and what to expect. Mark Fonte is the lawyer you want on your side and he will return phone calls, inform you of your rights and what will happen.

I was referred to this lawyer because I was told the Staten Island court system was very political. You had to have a lawyer who was friends with everyone you interacted with through out the process. I was arrested for driving while impaired so I went with him because the referred reputation, and h...e was relatively cheap. Let me tell you, he was buddy-buddy with them all, shaking hands and kissing babies up and down the isles. He didn't know my case, didn't know my background, and didn't show me he gave one care, all he cared about was getting paid. He was going through the motions when he represented me, just another day in the office. He seemed oblivious to outcomes and played off certian sentences with out explaining the repercussions. When all was said and done with the court system the dmv slapped their own fines and sentences. My license was supposed to be suspended for 3 months it wound up being over a year. My advice to Mark would be to manage expectations better, and be more knowledgable about outcomes. You are a criminal lawyer and do this everyday you should have a better understanding. It will limit bad reviews.
