Will take your money and do nothing

If i could give zero stars i would. This man is extremely unprofessional, little to no communication with his customers. My fiancé had a family court case and hired Mr. Gonzalez. Mr. Gonzalez had no preparation before court hearings, did not call his client prior to any court dates to discuss if ther...e were any updates with the matter or to prep. Only emailed the night before last court date to say it was via zoom and didn't even mention anything else. We tried on multiple occasions to call Mr. Gonzalez prior to court hearings in order to discuss our concerns, there was no answer on his phone, no response to voicemails, not even an assistant to take his calls or messages. When the final court hearing came Mr. Gonzalez took it upon himself to come to an agreement with the opposing lawyer without consulting his client first, did not interject when needed, knowing we provided the information being mentioned. To speak more on his unprofessionalism, the day of the zoom hearing Mr. Gonzalez appeared on the zoom from what looked like a seat in his kitchen or living room... not sure, he didnt even bother to wear a suit or a least a jacket. Prior to the zoom we called Mr. Gonzalez about 5 or more times with no answer, When he finally called back we could hear a baby crying in the background And we couldn't even discuss anything to the matter because all he said was wait for the zoom bye. The next day after court we met with hin to discuss why he did the those things the ultimately caused us to loose. We were obviously upset and appalled at his service, his response was he is not here to take things personally he is there to make money.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
