Nishad Khan

Nishad focuses his practice on all aspects of real estate law, including commercial development, landlord tenant, residential sales and purchases, distressed properties, loan workouts, title issues and financing. Nishad also devotes a significant portion of his time to estate and business planning, wills & trusts, probate, wealth preservation, business law and commercial agreements.

After working at a few key Orlando firms, Nishad opened his own practice in 2007. His legal experience includes a judicial externship in which he gained valuable experience researching substantive and procedural issues for complex commercial cases, practicing at a legal defense fund, in which he provided legal services to individuals who could not afford attorneys, and working with the City Attorney to research local ordinances affecting real estate related issues. During law school, Nishad provided indigent clients with legal representation in the areas of human rights abuse and political asylum, representing them before an immigration judge. After law school, Nishad spent a year with a New York based non-profit organization providing legal aid to victims of hate crimes and ethnic discrimination. Nishad also consults for several real estate investment groups and has played an integral role in developing local real estate, assisting in bulk property sales, and the acquisition of financial instruments.

Nishad is licensed to practice in the State of Florida, and is a member of The Florida Bar Association, The American Bar Association, and The Orange County Bar Association. He is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Civil Circuit Mediator and was selected as the 2012-2013 Fellow of the Real Property Probate and Trust Section of the Florida Bar. Nishad holds board positions on the Central Florida Real Estate Attorney’s Council and is President of the Florida Literacy Coalition, a state organization that promotes Adult Literacy.

Nishad is also a title agent for Old Republic National Title Insurance. Finally, Nishad is a member of the Ninth Circuit Advisory Team for Attorneys Title Insurance Company (The FUND), a member of the advisory committee for Attorney At Law Magazine, and a frequent speaker for the Orlando Regional Realtor Association, as well as many other real estate related organizations. As a long time resident of Orlando, Nishad also enjoys spending time on the local bike trails and playing basketball or playing squash. When not practicing law, Nishad enjoys spending time with his wife Yasmeen and his children.
