Nathalie Marie Caplan

Nathalie Caplan is a Denver attorney specializing in general business representation, including federal, state, and local cannabis and hemp regulatory compliance; representation of individuals and businesses in administrative enforcement proceedings, such as discipline, suspension, and denial of a license; and commercial business litigation involving all aspects of cannabis and hemp law. She also focuses her practice on constitutional law and criminal justice reform.

Nathalie was born and raised in Washington, D.C. She attended college the University of North Carolina, Wilmington, earning her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in 2010 and Master of Arts in Conflict Management and Resolution in 2013. Nathalie moved to Denver in 2014 to pursue law school. She obtained a Juris Doctor with the Constitutional Rights and Remedies Certificate from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law in 2017.

While in law school, Nathalie was a student attorney with the University of Denver’s Civil Rights Clinic where she completed a clemency petition for an individual serving life in prison for a nonviolent drug crime, which was granted by President Obama. Nathalie loves representing cannabis businesses because it allows her to combine her passion for constitutional law and criminal justice reform with her advocacy for the cannabis industry.

In her spare time, Nathalie enjoys live music, hiking, traveling, spending time with her family and friends, and playing with her dog, Evie.
