Riedmiller Immigration Law Firm Review

To describe what Miriam and the Riedmiller Immigration Law Firm has done for me is a pleasure. Miriam Riedmiller is a knowledgeable, attentive lawyer who helped me out at every step of the way with my fiancée visa. I needed a K1 and K2 visa for my fiancée and the children as well as the I-129F. D...ue to the excellent preparation that Miriam performed we were able to get a quick turnaround and have the I-129F approved in less than 3 months. Miriam went above and beyond in doing everything in her power to make sure my case reached early completion. When I first looked up Miriam Riedmiller, I was instantly impressed with her 25 years of experience and how she was the lawyer that other lawyers come to for advice. I also noticed she was a Filipino American which was very helpful because my fiancée was from the Philippines. I needed a person like Miriam on my team who understood the law, the cultural, and the personal issues that are involved with immigration. After working with her for a year and a half I got all that and more. There were times when things were challenging from the government side, such as technical issues with the website. When my case ran into difficulties, Miriam stayed up late and spent extra hours with me to make sure the issues was resolved. Miriam was also helpful to my fiancée and sensitive to the cultural differences we experienced during the process. I would recommend Miriam and Riedmiller Law Firm for any immigration needs. K-1 Visa and Related Work

Miriam B. Riedmiller is an experienced and dedicated U.S. Immigration attorney who is very passionate about her area of practice. When I least expected it I met “the one” in France. A dear friend of mine recommended Miriam who fortunately had the time to handle our case. As is the case with most ...immigration cases, we hit a couple bumps along the way and each time Ms. Riedmiller’s ingenuity and creativity, not only resolved the issue, moved our case along even further. In our case Miriam demonstrated the ability to turn a Request for Information into an opportunity! I was fortunate to have our case processed in 2015 before the current craziness. Now, more than ever, it is critical to have competent attorney representation -- Homeland Security and State Department priorities can be changed at anytime and every U.S. Embassy seems to have its own set of rules making every immigration case one of a kind. Ms. Reidmiller is not the least expensive attorney performing this type of work but I cannot be more pleased with the results. With her representation, I was able to get a K1 Visa application approved in just over three months and the fiancé Visa four months later. We are happily married and living in the U.S. We still have one more hurdle to cross next year and will be retaining Miriam to represent us.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

I highly recommend Ms. Riedmiller as an immigration lawyer. She has been our family lawyer for over 10 years— for me, my sister, mother, father, grandmother, uncle, aunt and two cousins. She filed a relative petition for our family which she won and was approved. She is truly an exceptional lawyer be...cause of her strong analytical and logical thinking ability. In addition, she worked in a very timely and professional manner, manifesting her legal skills as well as people skills. She proved to be organized, reliable and most of all, honest.

Miriam Riedmiller could care less about her Clients!

I do NOT recommend retaining Miriam Riedmiller at all. She says she is compassionate but she is nothing more than a Lawyer who boxes their clients into a corner and drags out the work and keeps coming back with more and more charges. She refuses to issue invoices instead always saying "...look at the... big picture." Her accounting should be done as she goes but instead by not issuing weekly invoices she can get away with hidden charges calling it research. She claims to have an office in DC but instead forces clients to go to her home in Alexandria where she makes the client walk with her while she walks her dog and then bills for that time too. She gets furious at the slightest question about billing to date, paper filing status, and what the overall strategy is. In each case she goes on a tangent and NEVER answers the question but instead belittles the client as if she were the school master. Her fees are off the charts compared to other Attorneys who do the same work.

please, do yourself a favor and go elsewhere

I used Ms. Riedmiller for immigration and citizenship services for a period of 2 years. In my opinion, as counsel, she was disorganized, uninformed, and gave no value-added information or guidance on my case that I could not have garnered from the internet. I also consider her handling of legal fo...rms, case notes, and billing/invoicing sloppy and disorganized. I often had to edit her work. She refused, twice, to move forward on my citizenship application, claiming adamantly that there were still "problems" with the application which needed to be addressed. At this point I stopped going to her. I ended up consulting with another immigration attorney for 1 hour, and after looking at my case, that attorney gave his opinion that I did not need legal representation for my citizenship application. I followed his advice, submitted the application on my own, and became a citizen about six months later. None of the said "problems" ever materialized. I strongly recommend that you do not use Ms. Riedmiller as your immigration lawyer.
