I am a native Texan, born in Laredo then moving to San Antonio attending college at Trinity University. During my time in law school I assisted attorneys working large personal injury cases and fighting civil rights violations. I was hired at the Bexar County District Attorney's office and quickly became a rising star. Reaching first chair status faster than any other attorney in the office at the time. While in the District Attorney's Office I was able to hold many positions. including being cheif of the computer crimes unit, a lead prosecutor in the white-collar crime and corruption unit, and the lead prosecutor in both the 379th and 437th District Courts. During this time I was able to get well aquainted with all aspects of criminal law while becoming a seasoned trial attorney.
After leaving the office I decided to use my wealth of criminal law experience and become a defense attorney. I enjoy the practice of law and feel privileged to help out people in need, and proud to defend their rights.

Great Lawyer!
I was arrested for a class B misdemeanor for theft and Miguel Najera quickly got me into a pretrial diversion program and I quickly finished the program to dismiss the case. Miguel is currently in the process of expunging the case.

Exceeded My Expectations
I was looking for information on petitioning the court for an Order of Non-Disclosure of my arrest record. And the initial attorneys I attempted to contact were too busy to take my calls, but not Miguel. Not only did Miguel take my call, he gave me a free consultation and immediately started my petit...

Great Lawyer
As the former head prosecutor, Miguel Najera is very knowledgeable on the entirety of the legal system. He is very responsive and available when need be. He works with his clients and always goes for the best possible outcome. I got arrested for a class B misdeamenor (theft) and it was my first time ...
"Miguel is detailed, thorough, and committed. He cares about his clients and his cases, and it shows. An experienced criminal litigator who always finds a way."

"I have worked both with Mr. Najera as co-counsel and against Mr. Najera as a former prosecutor on many criminal matters. He has always displayed a full knowledge of the law and a willingness to fight for his clients."
"I endorse this lawyer I have known Miguel for years and we worked against each other on a few big cases back when he was a prosecutor. At all times during our interactions, he was always professional, reasonable, and fair. I am gratified to see that he brings those same qualities, as well as his knowledge of the law, to his criminal defense work as well. He is a good lawyer who serves his clients well."
"I can not recommend an attorney more highly than Miguel. I have known him for years as both a prosecutor and then as a defense attorney. In both roles, he was the consummate professional. His knowledge of the law and his kindness to all make him a true friend as well as a peer. Any person in need would be fortunate to have Miguel on their side."

"Lawyers who serve the avvo community as much as Mr. Najera are few and far between. It takes passion, concern and dedication to devote so much time. You have my endorsement and kudos."
"It is clear by reading Mr. Najera's answers that he is knowledgeable and articulate. He is experienced and interested in helping those that are in need. We need more lawyers like him in the community."
"I've known Mr. Najera for over a decade. He's smart and fair and a hard worker. As a prosecutor, he was well-respected by colleagues on both sides of the bar and judges alike, and I have every confidence that he brings the same zealous advocacy to his work as a defense attorney. I do not hesitate to recommend him."
