Biography
Michelle (Shelley) Ford relocated from Minnesota to Brevard County after receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics. Shelley attended Florida Institute of Technology where she earned a Master of Science degree in Space Sciences and also completed all required courses toward a PhD in Space Sciences. After leaving Florida Tech, she began her career at Kennedy Space Center with United Space Alliance as a Space Shuttle Engineer. In 2005, Shelley took a job with NASA where she served as the NASA Vehicle Manager for the Space Shuttle Endeavour. While working full-time, she attended law school at night and earned a Juris Doctorate from Barry University School of Law where she graduated in the top 12% of her class. Shelley also served as an Editor for two years on Law Review for the Barry Journal and has a publication on Gestational Surrogacy. Shelley is currently an assistant chief counsel working in the field of intellectual property for NASA at Kennedy Space Center.
