Successful RN license defense against abuse accusation

Michael helped me compose my side of the story when my license was in jeopardy after being accused of abuse. The result of his help was that I received no adverse decisions. There were 2 stages of the defense; a criminal investigation and a state board inquiry. For the criminal investigation there ...were several iterations of editing to come up with a document that told my story truthfully and also gave the investigator no basis for prosecution. As well that document anticipated the MN Board of Nursing's questions and concerns. He suggested at one point I may want to get advice from a criminal defense attorney. That might have been a good idea, but I did not take it and it wasn't needed. The criminal charge was dropped after we submitted the document. The Board of Nursing's (BON) inquiry asked 9 questions. There were again several iterations to compose a 15 page response. Michael helped tremendously in the structure, style, and in some precise wording of that response. Still, the response was written in MY voice and included the key points I thought it important to make (with his advice). With that response, the BON decided no discipline was needed in my case. I live 90 minutes or more from Michael's office. All my interactions with him were by either phone, email, or snail mail. He was very accessible. He even replied to one of my questions on a Sunday night. The price was between $5000-$6000. That seemed like plenty, but the outcome made it truly worth it.

Nurse

Results reflected work put in (good results). Phone calls ran longer than needed but charges were pro-rated. He has the experience that is worth the price.

Thank you for the 5-star review and recommendation! We combine our legal experience with a focus on each client and his/her individual goals. We also want our rates to be competitive--especially relative to other attorneys protecting and defending the licenses of healthcare professionals. Please feel free to touch base with us about any concerns regarding the length of phone calls. We seek to balance being efficient and effective, spending the time a client wants on those calls, and accurately tracking the length of any case-specific calls. That being said, we also want clients to be satisfied with our services--including their related billing. Along with each invoice, we invite clients to contact us to discuss any questions or concerns so that we can address those issues. If you have not done so, please feel free even now. Thank you again for taking the time to submit your review. We are especially happy you were pleased with the services and the results!

Highly recommend!

Michael was knowledgeable, thorough, and supportive. I was very thankful to have him on my team throughout the process. He knows the Board of Psychology's processes and explained them to me thoroughly, which was helpful during a difficult process. My outcome was the best possible, and I highly rec...ommend him.

Highly recommend!

Michael was referred to me from a friend. I never had to hire a attorney before for anything, so going into it I was extremely nervous, but once I had my consultation I knew I would be in good hands. He was extremely thorough and answered any and every question I had (which was a lot). He prepped me ...before my meeting with the board, which was extremely helpful. I honestly believe if I did not have Michael as my attorney, my outcome would not have been as good as it was. I would recommend him any day! The cost is well worth it!

Outstanding Attorney

I worked with Michael on my licensure defense case against the Board. I called the office to schedule a consult and Michael agreed to meet with me later that same day. His general availability, flexibility, and genuine willingness make accomodations, in my opinion, demonstrates his wonderful work eth...ic and person-centered approach with his clients. He was there to provide guidance and support during the most frightening and distressing ordeal of my life. At the consult Michael was up front about the costs. He did not create any sense of false hope nor speculate unpredictable possible outcomes, which I found refreshing. Communication was excellent as he is available through varying modes (call, text, e-mail.) Michael consistently provided prompt responses, detailed information, and transparent instructions throughout the progress of my case. Michael was patient with my many questions and concerns. He never made me feel rushed when we'd go over the expected time, or feel like any kind of inconvenience. Michael provided excellent assistance with revising and collaborating on the final written response. During the prepping/coaching sessions, he made sure I had ample time to learn & practice those skills to an appropriate comfort level. Michael accompanied me to the review panel. I was quite moved by his opening statement. He possessed sincerity and conviction in his words that displayed genuine support and belief in my case. My case was complex and the cards were seemingly stacked against me, yet in the end the Board fully dismissed every allegation in the case. Michael is genuinely motivated, passionate, and devoted to assisting nurses & others receive justice and fair treatment through his utilization of experience and intellect along with the consistent application of ethical practice. I would highly recommend Michael Weber, without hesitation.
