Client's Grateful Wife

My husband's ex has been bringing him back to court for the last 3 years. Fortunately, with Melody in his corner, every time he's gone into court, he's come out with more! Melody made it priority number one to address what is in the best interest of the child while simultaneously identifying my husba...nd's rights as a parent. She always provided the court with extensive evidence and strong legal references to support her argument. Thank you, Melody. It's because of you that my stepdaughter will have the opportunity to know (and grow with) both of her parents.

Run!! Don't look back your not going that way

Melody came recommended by a friend. But little did I realize my friend had plenty of money to pay for her services. I would NOT recommend her services for DIVORCE at all. When your lawyer tells you multiple times over you need to fire me cause you can afford me and makes you cry. A client should ...not have to beg to have there council have there back. She did NOT have mine or my best interest. Your already under enough stress as it is. She defiantly added to my stress. By saying that I felt very uneasy and felt she was in it to take money that I had to borrow. She did NOT have my back. If your looking for that your to have empathy for you. You need to look elsewhere. I felt like I did all the work.

It is always a dilemma for attorneys when representing clients in a family law matter when the client truly cannot afford the attorney's services. The divorce process is painful and wearing on every client no matter what the facts of the case may be. To add to a client's stress level by running up attorney fees knowing the client cannot afford them would in and of itself be wrong. Worst yet is driving a client into a future bankruptcy. We have excellent self help programs in our county and thus when a client simply is going past their means I absolutely will advise them to seek help from the Family Law Assistance Center. For many I continue to provide legal advice on an hourly basis while they represent themselves. I also encourage clients to do as much of the fact finding as they can in cases wherein money is limited. Generally clients are appreciative and we work with what we have available. I have a plaque hanging in my office which I try to live by it says, "I do the very best I know how-the very best I can; and i mean to keep on doing so until the end" Abraham Lincoln I am sorry that I was unable to meet your legal needs with the resources available. I wish you well.

Disappointed

Melody displays a very tough approach & seemed to represent me well in the beginning of my child custody matter but eventually appeared more worried about her fee's than looking out for her clients best interest. In fact, she rushed me through signing a child custody agreement that was more than detr...imental with mistakes that should have easily been avoided. She makes a good sale but buyer beware, she requires close attention & due diligence on the part of her clients.

divorce/custody client

Melody advocated for me and my boys in a complex divorce with separate property issues and criminal issues. She helped me fight for what's was rightfully mine and to protect my boys from a criminal father. Melody was always honest and laid the options out for me to decide. I appreciated her knowledge,... tenacity and compassion through the process. Because of the opposing council's failure to do their part and have their client sign before he went to jail I now have go before a judge for the final ruling. I trust Melody to get me through this final step.

Best lawyer with honesty and integrity!

Melody took on my case and did everything possible to keep me focused and knowledgable about the laws and how they applied to my case. She fought with dignity and intelligence and helped me to end a very difficult divorce. I would highly recommend her expertise and compassion. Without her Help I ...feel like I never would have moved on to enjoy the rest of my life
