I had Melissa Mortensen review a contract I was about to sign (a lease). I am so thankful that I did.She discovered 3 full pages of notes that were bad for me, 3 of which were deal breakers ("If they insist on this clause, walk away"). One was a provision for Environmental Cleanup. The way the le...ase read, I would be liable for pollutants from other tenants. Not cool. I was able to renegotiate the lease and eliminate all the negative clauses that had me liable for things out of my control, or to preserve rights in the agreement that I should be entitled to keep. Melissa was efficient, timely and most of all, spot on with all he observations, comments and advice. I HIGHLY recommend Melissa! I'm so glad she reviewed my lease. She saved me money and liability.
