Matthew E. Starling

Matthew Starling, a native of Spartanburg, SC, is not only an impressive lawyer, he’s also living proof of how much good one person can do in the world.

Matthew worked in corporate sales and management after graduating from Mars Hill University but found he was searching for more. Fueled by the desire to help others, he made the life-changing decision to pursue a career in law. He went to Western Michigan University Cooley Law School, where he graduated magna cum laude. Then, eager to give back to his community, Matthew served as a Senior Assistant Public Defender in South Carolina for two years. His advocacy for justice and fair representation for those in need earned him the esteemed Pro Bono Publico Award.

Matthew is licensed in North and South Carolina. When he's not in the courtroom, you can find him outdoors, gardening with his wife, or advocating for environmental conservation.
