This was the second time I filed for a trademark. The first time was about eight years ago and I utilized an attorney. The second time, I figured I could do it on my own. Bad idea. Just because you can, doesn’t mean you should. After my submission, I received a notification from the trademark off...ice that additional information was required. I didn’t have the bandwidth to go down the rabbit hole of DIY trademark submissions. I needed an attorney. Around this time I received solicitation letters from attorneys, at least once a day. At first I was annoyed, but realized that monitoring submissions was the best way to contact prospective clients. When Schwartz Intellectual Property Law contacted me, I took the time to conduct some research. Most of the reviews were favorable and they didn’t come off like a sleazy law firm. I think everyone is a scammer so the fact that I took a chance with them speaks volumes. The entire process was seamless. I was actually surprised,they were so responsive and available via phone/email. I was expecting to speak to Matthew’s Paralegal or Intern. He responds to all of his emails within 24 hours and sets time for you via phone if you have follow up questions. I won’t share how much I paid, but it was reasonable and quite honestly below market rate. Schwartz Intellectual Property Law was transparent about the process and didn’t overpromise. I would definitely recommend this firm to my colleagues.
