Too often, people need legal services to help them through challenging situations but do not know where to turn or whom to trust - or they simply do not believe they can afford a lawyer to manage their case. I established McRae Law Firm to change those perceptions and beliefs.

In the spirit of “Nia” (or purpose), I strive to make my vocation the building and developing of underrepresented communities. I earned my law degree and MBA from Howard University (aka “The Hilltop”, aka “The Mecca”), in Washington, D.C., which produced historic civil rights leaders, such as Thurgood Marshall, Zora Neal Hurston, Andrew Young and Toni Morrison. While at Howard, our faculty regularly reminded us that, as lawyers, we are either a social engineer or a parasite on society. As a social engineer I will use my legal education and extensive negotiations experience to support my clients’ dreams of homeownership, and to protect that investment and other assets through creative planning and by leveraging laws that protect consumers from predatory businesses and other bad actors. A substantial portion of my practice is devoted to providing legal representation to pro bono clients, and to low- and moderate-income clients through affordable flat fees and flexible payment plans in order to pay my Blessings forward while strengthening our communities.
