Matthew's Public Intoxication Case

Hello. My name is Matthew. I am a 45 year old male, who lives in San Francisco. I work for a large bank, which will remain nameless – to protect their privacy. However, I can - and will - gladly give you details regarding my situation back in 2008, when I required the services of an attor...ney. I have worked in Finance my whole life. Prior to moving to San Francisco in 2007, I had worked on the Floor of the New York stock Exchange for 15 years. I am 4 years sober now – but back in 2008, I was not & I was arrested for public intoxication in Sonoma, California. As you can imagine, in Finance, as in other areas of life, it was important for me to have a clean record & background check. My crime was not violent or criminal in nature, but it was still highly important for this case to be handled by a highly competent & intelligent individual. This case could, after all, determine if I could continue a career in Finance. My cousin, referred to me - his associate - Mark Feeser. I could not have been happier with his recommendation. Mark is as trustworthy, diligent, and intelligent – of a lawyer as you may ever find. Prior to my case going to trial, Mark had already contacted the ADA of Sonoma County & explained the nature of my case and why it was important for me to try to keep a clean record. So even before the case went to trial – my charges had been unofficially dismissed - through Mark’s hard work on the front end. I still had to appear in court, nonetheless- for the whole process to be official ; and to be recognized by the courts. But that peace of mind – of knowing how I stood, going in to trial - and how my downside potential had been basically mitigated down to zero - meant the world to me. That is something I will never forget, in a troubling time of my life. Hopefully I will never need a lawyer again. But if I do – I know the first person I am calling.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
