also known as Maria Salazar
I am an immigration attorney and the principal of the Law Offices of Maria Salazar, PLLC. My practice is limited to United States immigration law. Because immigration law is federal, I represent clients throughout the United States and abroad.
I handle family-based petitions, employment-based petitions including the EB-2 national interest waiver and EB-3, adjustment of status, E-2 treaty investor visas, and humanitarian petitions.
Much of my work comes in after something has gone wrong. A Request for Evidence. A Notice of Intent to Deny with a deadline that cannot be extended. A petition pending for years with no explanation. A case revoked after the petitioner died. A permanent resident stranded outside the country. These cases are unforgiving, and they are the work I know best.
I am admitted in New York and in the Philippines. Cases involving Filipino families often turn on a single Philippine document and what it means under Philippine law. Whether a marriage is valid. Whether a child was legitimated or only acknowledged. I read those records in the original and analyze them under the law that produced them.
I carefully study the evidence before I advice for potential reliefs. In a consultation I will tell you what is available to you, where the risks are, and what I consider the strongest path forward. If I do not think a case can be won as it stands, I will say so and we will look at the alternatives.
Consultations are by appointment, and the consultation fee is credited toward your engagement fee if you retain our law office. Fees are flat, quoted in advance, and paid in installments tied to milestones in your case.
