Avoid, avoid, avoid

Somehow they got a bar license and right to practice. I feel real sad for whomever their client be. Not once they pick up the phone on me and kept delaying my case, and would contradict themselves with 24 hours to extend that I had to get another at last moment at much higher costs.

Bad initial experience with work eventually completed and complaints addressed

Edit: 1/24/21 The work described below has since been completed and was done free of charge. Ms Padgett contacted me, apologizing and explaining the difficulties faced by businesses during these pandemic times. I certainly understand that times are challenging and would understand about delays in ...work. I still find it problematic, however, to have no communication about such delays and to be unreachable for over 2 months. I would hope that such issues would not occur in the absence of the pandemic, but it is unclear to me if communication practices within the firm have substantially changed at this time. That being said, Ms. Padgett was prompt and efficient in handling our request once she did respond. ------------------------------------ (previous 1 star review) My experience with this law firm has been horrible. We've been trying to get our deed transferred into a living trust that they helped us create since October (it is now early January). It still isn't done. We reached out repeatedly through the months of November and December after not hearing anything and, every time we reached out (at least at first) we would get a promise that the work would be finished by the end of the week. This never materialized and we would never hear anything back. Now I've been trying for weeks to get a hold of anyone (multiple email addresses and phone numbers). We've haven't been able to get a hold of anyone who can even talk to us about the status of our case. The people answering the phone lines don't have direct lines to anyone handling cases and can only leave messages that are never returned. Emails are never answered and I'm starting to seriously wonder if anyone is actually working at this firm. I do not intend to do business here ever again and I would suggest you avoid them as well.

Took my money then when asked for a refund only gave a third for no work

I paid Ms. Padgett to get full custody of my child once I paid her she was MIA. I emailed her about what the next steps were and I didnt her back from her for 17 days. In that time I called and emailed more and then when I emailed regarding a refund they finally got back to me the day after saying th...at they are 90 percent done with the case however I only had one intro consultation with Ms. Padgett so there's no way they are 90 % done. So out of the 1500 I paid they said Id get 500 which was completely wrong. I have never seen anything from the case, no paperwork or case number. When I confronted her and showed her screenshots of my attempts she just said what I had said to her was inaccurate. Don't hire this lawyer!
