I was very disappointed by Ms. Moore's representation for the following reasons: 1) significant breakdown in communication, 2) failure to investigate, 3) failure to file meritorious motions to exclude damaging evidence. 4) 1. Breakdown in Communication - I wrote Ms. Moore concerning my case over ...ten times in four months. She did not respond to any of my letter. I tried to contact Ms. Moore by telephone and kept a log of each call I made to her office. I never spoke with her directly over the phone during the five months she represented me. Her assistant, Sandra, hung up on me and disclosed information concerning my case with other clients. A court appointed attorney is required to meet with you in private pursuant to Arizona Rules of Court, Rule 6.1 (a) sufficiently in advance of a proceeding to allow adequate preparation. Ms. Moore never met with me in private as required by the Arizona Rules of Court. b FAILURE TO INVESTIGATE - I asked that Ms. Moore obtain video footage to support my defense which was in custody of the Chino Valley Police Department. I was informed by Ms. Moore's office that they don't do any discovery for my behalf outside of what the State provides c. failure to file meritorious motions to exclude damaging evidence. - Ms. Moore was inadequately prepared for my bail reduction hearing and allowed the State to provide the Court with misinformation regarding the facts pertaining to my case. In addition, Ms. Moore failed to file a reply brief to a motion and present the Court with pertinent facts concerning another motion. Ms. Moore was supposed be preparing a Motion to Suppress in January. However, nothing was ever prepared come May.
