All the public defenders in sullivan county are flakes. They are overworked and under paid if you ask me. They try to get you to plea out to whatever the DA decides and they look at you as if your life doesn't matter and automatically assume your guilty even if your really not. I'm nit gonna sit and ...say my true experience because it will be known whom i am but one thing for sure is that that town/county makes there own rules up and to see so many people sitting in the jail on petty charges is so sad not to mention the way the jail staff treats human beings. Yes people get in trouble but for another human being that has probably done worse but just hasn't got caught at what they done wrong to treat someone like they do is very wrong. If you have money do not use the public defenders because they want fight for you at all instead they will get you time and more probation than what was needed. Remember they get paid either way so they dont care.

She was great in getting a violent criminal off. The criminal broke into our home, assaulted me, age 61, and my mother, age 85. She injured me. Broke out our front windows, kicked down our front door! She screamed in my face that she would kill me. But, Lesley was able to get her off with only t...hree days in jail, and $150 fine. Great job! This is a real low life attorney. So if you are a low life looking to get off for a crime you are really guilty of, she is great.
