If I was able to rate Lawrence Stuart with a 0 I would. I paid a retainer fee to have Larry file a divorce petition against my ex wife. The petition was never filed and my ex filed herself almost 3-4 weeks later. Throughout the entire case, Larry took multiple weeks to respond and I only spoke with h...im approximately 3 times throughout the case (one being the consultation). With tax season approaching, I contacted Larry to ask him how we would handle filing taxes. Larry never responded and almost after 2 months, my ex decided to file on her own. My ex cleaned out thousands of dollars that belonged to me and Larry stood by idle and actually defended her. Meanwhile other lawyers I consulted with agreed that my lawyer should be taking action but he had not. Larry did not defend me when I asked for Skype communication with my child who lives long distance from me where he felt that it was unreasonable and unenforceable. My wife is now taking more than 2 weeks of pay from my check for child support that I cannot afford while I argued with Larry that it must be reduced because it's too much. Larry informed me there was nothing he could do. If you're seeking a divorce, I VERY strongly urge you NOT to hire this lawyer. My spiteful ex destroyed my life and Larry did nothing about it but let it happen.
